PATHWAY IN THE SKY

US Air Force

The image on the right is an example of the thinking in guidance displays coming out of the US Air Force. Dr. John Reising of the Flight Dynamics Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base has a program in which full color "cartoons" are used for guidance displays, enabling the pilot to understand a large amount of vital information at a glance.
